Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak on Wednesday talking to the
elite and media personnel after handing over keys of police donated
Daewoo buses to heads of various universities and colleges in an
impressive ceremony at Police Lines Peshawar.
Speaker KP Assembly Haji Asad Qaiser, IGPNasir Khan Durrani, Secretary Home Department Syed Akhter Ali Shah, Secretary Higher Education Farah Hamid, other high ups of civil and police department as well as the city and PTI elite were also present.
Earlier IGP Nasir Durrani, AIGP(HQ) Mian Muhammad Asif and DIG (Telecommunication) ZafarUllah Khan highlighted achievements of police force and said the new buses were being given to educational institutions as the terror bids compelled police to use other vehicular means.
Addressing the ceremony Pervez Khattak said that the visible process of change and reformation has been started in police department. He reiterated that we would not leave this process of change incomplete but would achieve its each and every goal.
Similarly he said we would benefit the people of the fruits of change for sure. He said bureaucracy would be next after police force to be depoliticized to deliver and serve the masses in befitting manner. He said the reform program has been initiated with three model police stations in Peshawar but this course would be continued with momentum and soon all the police stations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would become models automatically.
